Christy: Book Review
I just finished a book that has such a wonderful Anne of Green Gables quality about it that I wanted to share it. Most of you would recognize it by the miniseries they made inspired by the book years ago starring Kellie Martin:
Christy is based on the true story of Catherine Marshall's grandmother {as I've since learned from my Mother}. It is beautiful and inspiring. A touching love story as well and history of mountain life in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. If you're looking for a great book and/or a well cast movie version, I highly recommend Christy.
I Loved it!

Trucker
It was an exciting weekend for our family this past Sunday since we had a short notice visit from a family member. It was Thrilling when Matt called us Sat. evening to tell us he was making deliveries with his new trucking job in Eugene on Sunday and would like to come for a visit. Bryon, Tyler and Michael picked him up after church to eat dinner with us, let him have a shower, play games and enjoy a yummy dessert of hot fudge brownies and ice cream. The childre were delighted to have him pump them as iron (unfortunately missed that with the camera *shucks!*), give them fighting tips:
~just what I need!~
Goof off:
Help with unfinished homework on Monday morning:
and see his amazing truck!
After dropping Justin off for preschool Monday morning, I drove him to where his truck was parked:
he gave me a grand tour of his "pad" *wink* which was super cool!
Departing with him wasn't as hard as it would be if we didn't know he would be back, but since he left us with the assurance that this would be just one of his surely many trips out this way, we were able to say good-bye and look forward to his next visit.
We love our Matt!

It's been a busy, but funfilled Christmas break. One night Jeremy decided to sit in our reading chair in our bedroom and read.
Before we new it, he was fast asleep.
He was so adorable and cozy sleeping, that Steve didn't even notice him there!
Jeremy is such a wonderful help to us, generally occupying himself with tasks to help our around and outside the house. Thanks to him all the leaves from our trees this fall were out by the curb by the time the street sweepers came. I haven't had to worry whether anyone has taken care of them. He will just come home from school, or wake up in the morning while on break, and announce that he's going outside to blow leaves.
I'm so thankful for such a sweet blessing in my life. My busy boy with such a profound amount of energy and an amazing insight on how to channel it. What a great example he is to all of us of service and hard work. He's truly amazing.
