Alyssa decided to stop taking naps around a month ago when she discovered how to climb out of her crib on her own.
She, like many two-three year olds, decided she no longer needs naps. (Lovely!) SO, of course when I ask her to take a quiet time, she throws a fit I don't feel is worth the battle. The following picture is proof that, though she doesn't think a good long rest in the afternoon is necessary, her body tends to disagree:
This is how I discovered her when I came home from running a quick errand. (The older children were home doing homework)
The refusal to accept naptime needs has resulted in a few (small exaggerasion)tantrums from time to time (of course these ONLY happen on occassion, NEVER ALL DAY LONG over small meaningless things...
Like taking the camera away, or somebody looking at her wrong, or wanting something that she first told you she didn't want).
Of course not! After all...
She's not tired, and doesn't need a nap. Because. She's TWO, in ALL it's G L O R Y.
(Yeah) Although, I must say. Even though she doesn't need a nap any longer...
She does seem more pleasant when she gets one. (imagine)
What a beautiful girl. Our little Princess Ann. (It's true)
