Sensation

So I grew up thinking that since my birthday was in the summer, that was my favorite season. Of course, when I was a child, I believe it was. I mean, what's better than having your birthday month during the time there is no school allowing you to have a party doing something that you love most? Swimming was my ABSOLUTE favorite activity to do and although not a regulary, even now. When I'm enjoying a wonderful dip,  I truly believe I was born to be a fish but was concieved by the wrong species. However, even though I adore the warm summer months, I love the fall so much it actually hurts sometimes. I think there should be no wonder when I begin to think of all the reasons I feel so passionately about this time of year. Many of my most significant and fond memories took place in the Autumn months. When thinking about how I would go about writting this post, I decided I would make a list of the top reasons this time of year truly triggers such deep feelings in my heart. Sooo...here goes nothing!

1) Best choice of my life was sealed in heaven and earth in the Fall...Of course: I was joined to the love of my life married and united November 26, 1991 (this anniversary sometimes falls on Thanksgiving--great perk!)

2) I had an ADORABLE and ever so sweet baby in the fall who now carries a name I adore because whenever I hear it, I think of sweetness, love and pure joy because of who it is attached to...yes, guy smiley. Justin. This relieved an ever so difficult pregnancy and began life long blessings and joy.

3) My favorite foods are seasonal during the Fall and usually included in a traditional Thanksgiving meal (which also happens to be my favorite Holiday)...Yep, Turkey, Stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade pineapple cranberry sauce and what definately makes the top of the list: PIE! You name it, pumpkin, pecan, double lemon cream, blueberry cream, chocolate silk...all of which I have dedicated the last 3 years and moving on to four attaining the best recipes I could possibly find in existence to immitate my ever favorite pie making restaurant and place of romantic dinner dates Marie Calendars.

4) My "colors" are popular and distinct in nature in the Autumn months. They are both the ones I look good in and make me happiest. I love the beauty of the earth covered in them..they are my favorite pallette of the color wheel. Red, orange, brown, green...and, Yes: Yellow. No matter how hard I have tried to have another favorite color...no other can ever stick the way Yellow can. It so greatly depicts happiness, sunshine, beauty, warmth, and JOY.

5) The smells of fall. Oh how I LOVE that spicey smells of clove, ginger, cinammon, nutmeg, orange and vanilla all simmering in a wonderful pot of cider. What an aroma of comfort and the promise of strengthening family ties as in previous years of smelling.
*Ahhh-hmmm.

6) Foggy mornings and falling leaves, crisp air and the smell of moist earth. Who knew life could feel so good? Great atmosphere for a good morning run and working together to clean up the yard from its beautiful blanket of fresh fallen leaves, ending in children running and jumping in the leaves as they giggle and play---oh how I LOVE that sound!

7) Festivities at farms including hay rides and pumpkin patches, apple picking and applesauce canning, caramel dipping and popcorn popping all in the name of carnivals, corn mazes Halloween and  haunted houses. Who couldn't love it?

Well there you have it. My sensational seven reasons for loving the fall! Try to change my mind. That would be difficult to do. For as it seems I may have listed all my reasons for loving the Autumn months, I can always come up with more!

So that makes me curious. What is your favorite Season or Holiday, or do you have one? Or can you choose?

AND...
                                         Why?
