Someone to fill and tie them
(The more the merrier)

A big bowl to hold them

A lot of fun children,
A cute one to start the battle.

Fantastic Fourth

Because the 4th of July was on a Sunday this year, we celebrated on Sat. the 3rd. We started with the ward flag raising and breakfast. Tyler was in charge of the flag raising. I couldn't see well enough to get a better shot. Hey, I'm glad he's in the picture at all!
Then we got settled and waited for the breakfast to begin.
Alyssa just looked darling in her "Red White and Cute" shirt
Bryon and Tyler both enjoyed the breakfast. With all you can eat pancakes, you can't go wrong with the Alger boys!

(Tyler is diffictult to get a good picture out of, he kept making silly faces)
The boys enjoyed the tradition of decorating and riding their bikes in the primary parade! Didn't they do a good job?
They always have fun events. Like this cake walk....
(Thanks Amber for taking Alyssa and Justin around.)
They both won! Justin is picking his cupcake here. I was glad he won since his brothers had and he REALLY wanted a cupcake like theirs!
Happy Justin!
Jeremy helping Alyssa with hers ;-)
Look! We actually got a family picture! All of them were such great sports at having it taken!
Jeremy and Justin's face painted art...
Michaels too.

Beautiful Girl!
Yummy BBQ by Chef Steve! (due to erased program, this pic is sideways)
Jeremy lighting fireworks with....a magnifying glass! How clever is that!
We had a wonderful day, I'm so thankful for our freedom. Happy Independance Day!

Tyler's Promotion

As sad as this is, we only have this picture of Tyler just after his Promotion ceremony. For those of you that don't know what a "promotion ceremony" is, it is a middle school graduation of sorts.  It's hard to believe we won't have any children in middle school for a couple more years. Tyler has been an excellent student and is heading on to Sheldon High School in the Fall with Bryon. He will be starting the honors program, following in his older brother's footsteps. We are so grateful for the boys accomplishments and hard work. Way to go TYLER!! XoXo

Pioneer Trek

Bryon and Tyler got the wonderful opportunity of going on a Pioneer Trek with our stake just over a week ago. They had a wonderful experience. I had to share these pictures because they were so good!
Bryon with his "family" on the Trek. He was the oldest "child".

The beautiful sunset after a long hard day.

Tyler with he and Bryon's friends, Williams and Baringer.
Thanks to Bryon for sharing these pictures with us! XoXo

Best EvEr!

It all started with a great breakfast in bed. Don't all Father's days start out that way?
then an afternoon celebration with Monster cookis and vanilla ice cream for a special treat.
Then what we all had been looking forward to...
The gifts that represent our sentiments and affections! A cool T-shirt and...
underwater camera...doesn't every great father need one of these?!
Oh, how we love you Dad! We think you are the best of the best in so many, many ways!! XoXo

Off to the RaCeS!

The long awaited Pine Wood Derby was this last Wed. We had very little notice...only a week's time, to be precise. That, therefore, makes the turnout of the race so much more amazing! The boys cut out their cars with leader's help just the week before. I was very concerned because of Steve's travel, he didn't have much opportunity to help Jeremy AT ALL. So, with Jeremy's picked and cut design, we did what we could. Spray painted the night before the race, second coat the morning before the race, dragon painted on 2 hours before the race, finished 1/2 hr. before check-in. We popped the dessert & dinner conributions in the car, all children packed and ready, Steve still out of town, and we were off to the races!
Jeremy got his award and blue ribbon for...
SECOND PLACE!!!
Way to Go Jeremy! (sorry, horrible picture of the action.)

Jeremy also earned and recieved his Wolf that same night!
He said it was "the best day ever!" It was pretty great! Love you Jeremy!!!

Amy's Blessing

We are a little late posting this since Steve took the camera on a business trip the week after she was blessed, but I have been looking forward to posting Amy's blessing picture. I would love to say it was one of the greatest days of my life, just like the day she was placed in my arms for the first time. I'm sorry to say, however, that I am always a basketcase when my babies are blessed. Between trying to get everyone ready and to the church on time, giving the baby an adequate feeding so she doesn't cry the whole blessing through, and making sure I look semi-decent.  All in all, she looked adorable and the blessing was beautiful. It makes me ever so grateful to a loving Father in Heaven and is a reminder that this beautiful baby was so recently in His care. I'm so grateful he has entrusted her to our family and pray we can teach her so that she can carry out her purpose on this earth. We are SO very blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl in our home.

We enjoyed a few days visit from her Grandparents Alger as well, as they came up for the blessing. They have been to every baby blessing we have had. They are so wonderful!
With all the chaos, I regret that we didn't get more pictures of that wonderful day. There is no doubt in my mind, however, that Amy will know it was a special event. We Love you Amy girl!
